| Resum: | De l'abstract: 'This article summarizes the evolution of modern Catalan from the founding in 1907 of theInstitut d’Estudis Catalans, the body that subsequently undertook the codification of thelanguage, led by Pompeu Fabra, to the 21st century. The broadening of the field of researchbranching from the study of Catalan requires a corresponding broadening of the meaningof “Catalanistics” as applied to studies of all aspects of the Paï sos Catalans. The articleprovides a new definition, used in the articles on the future of Catalan in this issue of theCatalan Review. '. |
