Abstract: "This article adopts a complementary perspective on the studies carried out so far on Joan Perucho and, in accordance with the theoretical framework of authorial studies, which assumes that the production of a literary work occurs in parallel to the construction of an author figure, investigates Perucho’s image as a writer in the literary system. To this end, an analysis is made of the critical work about Perucho by the writer Carlos Pujol (b. Barcelona 1936 – d. Barcelona 2012), who for years followed Perucho’s career assiduously and who, between 1977 and 2003 published some twenty texts of diverse typology (essay, interview, prologue, review, opinion article) on his work. The image of Perucho that Pujol constructs in his texts partially coincides with Perucho’s self-representation. Pujol filters and qualifies, according to his aesthetic and personal choices, the “character” that Perucho creates of himself". |
