Resum: "En aquest article investiguem l'abast del marcatge diferencial d'objecte, o acusatiu preposicional, en català central avui dia a partir d'un estudi del fenomen a Barcelona i a la Selva del Camp (Camp de Tarragona). Ens hem basat en entrevistes individuals amb 56 informants, que van dur a terme tasques de producció oral, de conversa lliure semidirigida i d'emissió de judicis d'acceptabilitat. Examinem sobretot noms propis, sintagmes nominals definits humans i sintagmes nominals indefinits humans. Per a l'anàlisi tenim en compte la varietat dialectal dels informants, la seva edat, el seu gènere i el seu nivell d'estudis. També prenem en consideració les escales de definitud i d’animacitat de l’objecte directe, el grau d’afectació del verb i, en els casos d’objectes directes formats per sintagmes nominals definits o indefinits, la presència o no d’un possessiu que determini el sintagma nominal. Els resultats obtinguts ens permeten confirmar, d’una banda, que el fenomen de l’acusatiu preposicional té una presència molt notable en el català central. Així mateix, hem confirmat el paper de les escales de definitud i d’animacitat de l’objecte directe en el marcatge diferencial d’objecte en català i hem comprovat que l’afectació del verb sobre l’objecte directe és un factor clau. En canvi, no hem trobat gaire rellevant que els sintagmes nominals tinguin un possessiu que els determini. Tampoc la variable del gènere. Destaquem que hi ha més ús d’aquest fenomen en els informants de Barcelona que en els de la Selva del Camp. Així mateix, hem detectat més presència del fenomen en parlants sense estudis universitaris que en parlants que sí que en tenen i més ús en els informants de més edat que en els joves". |

Abstract: "In this paper we research the use of Differential Object Marking, or prepositional accusative, in Central Catalan today, based on a study of the phenomenon in Barcelona and in La Selva del Camp (Tarragona). We based the study on individual interviews with 56 informants, who performed tasks of oral production, semidirected free conversation and acceptability judgments. We mainly examine proper nouns, definite human noun phrases and indefinite human noun phrases. For the analysis, we take into account the dialectal variety of the informants, their age, gender and level of education. We also consider the scales of definiteness and animacy of the direct object, the degree of affectedness of the verb and, in cases of direct objects formed by definite or indefinite noun phrases, the presence or absence of a possessive determining the noun phrase. The results that we obtained allow us to confirm that the prepositional accusative phenomenon has a very considerable presence in Central Catalan. Furthermore, we have confirmed the role of the scales of definiteness and animacy of the direct object in Differential Object Marking in Catalan and we have verified that the degree of affectedness of the verb on the direct object is a key factor. However, we found that the use of a possessive in nominal phrases and the gender variable are not very relevant. We note that there is a greater use of this phenomenon in informants from Barcelona compared to those from La Selva del Camp. Similarly, we detected a higher presence of the phenomenon among speakers without university studies than among those who have them, and more use among older informants than among the younger". |
